PERSIA BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING INFORMATION INSTITUTE
(Persia BME)
Some of the alumni and students of the Biomedical Engineering Department of Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) founded the institute in May 2001. It was officially registered in Tehran, Iran in May 2002. Our field of interest is the application of Information Technology (IT) in medicine and biomedical engineering. The first outcome of the institute was Iran BME Network. Currently called Persia BME, the network was a forum for biomedical engineers of the country to interchange their information and experiences. The institute has conducted more than 20 different commercial projects. Our activities are organized in three important fields: Software and multimedia design (Programming), Web design and advertisement.
